Hugo S. Gomes (hugo.santos.gomes@gmail.com): is a Fulbright Scholar, Invited Professor at the School of Criminology, University of Porto, and Junior Researcher at the Institute of Public Health (ISPUP), Portugal. His research examines the development of criminal and violent behavior across the life-course, drawing on multiple longitudinal studies.
Manuel Cardoso (mc@broteria.org): A Jesuit since 2006, he completed a Master’s degree in Theology at the Centre Sèvres and another in Political Studies at the EHESS, Paris. He recently completed a PhD on the public policies of Thomas Hobbes, also at the EHESS. He served as Deputy Editor of the journal from 2019 to 2024 and is currently Director General of Brotéria.
Manuel Pinto (mpinto@ics.uminho.pt): Emeritus Full Professor at the University of Minho, where he serves on the Ethics Council and co-directs an observatory on media literacy. He was a journalist and Readers’ Ombudsman at Jornal de Notícias and a professor of Communication Sciences and Journalism at the University of Minho. He currently works pro bono for the digital newspaper SeteMargens.
